Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026 · version 1.3
Which cookies and identifiers we use on the Lens website and app, and in the kl.js recorder that the Customer installs on their own site.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files or records stored in your browser. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. This policy covers two different situations: (a) the Keypoint Lens website and app, and (b) the kl.js recorder that the Customer installs on their own website.
2. Keypoint Lens website and app
| Name / type | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Login session | Keeps you signed in to the app | Necessary |
| Security and Cloudflare Turnstile | Anti-bot verification and abuse protection on forms and login | Necessary |
| kl_theme | Remembers your theme preference (light or dark) | Necessary (preference) |
| kl_cookie_choice | Stores your cookie choice | Necessary |
| Audience measurement | Understand how the site is used so we can improve it | Optional, only after consent |
Measurement cookies are enabled only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie notice and delete cookies in your browser settings.
3. The kl.js recorder on Customers’ websites
The Customer installs the kl.js script on their website. The script uses its own first-party visit and session identifiers, stored in the visitor’s browser under the site’s own domain, to link the interactions of a single visit. These identifiers serve session recording, browsing analysis and sales attribution; they are not used for third-party advertising.
The Customer, as controller of this data, decides whether, when and how the recorder runs. The Customer can configure the script to wait for the visitor’s consent before starting. Sensitive fields (password, card, CPF and other ID documents, and other masked inputs) are masked in the browser before sending.
The Customer must disclose the recorder in their own cookie notice and privacy policy; we offer a template in “Policy template”. If you are a visitor and want to know more or exercise your rights, please contact the site owner first.
4. Third-party cookies
Sign in with Google or Apple and the Cloudflare Turnstile check may set their own cookies, governed by those providers’ policies. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies on our site.
5. How to manage cookies
You can accept or reject optional cookies through the cookie notice on our site, and block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the app.
6. Updates and contact
We may update this policy; the date is shown at the top of the page. Questions: [email protected].
